This weekend I was visiting a relation in a nursing home. She is there for some rehabilitation for some recent knee surgery and she is not expected to be there long; she will go back to her house and maybe have some physical therapy in her home if she still will need it.
Some of the elderly people live there like permanently.
I saw more than one elderly woman holding a baby doll. One lady was like all confused and trying to grab at people. The nurses brought her a baby doll and said "Here's your baby" and the lady calmed down.
I still do not know how I feel about this. Like if it calms them down, I think that might be OK but I wonder if that is an affront to their dignity?
What do you think? I am still like wondering how I feel about this. Right now I am like a little disturbed by it.
